Solidarity Prepping Group meeting report: 14 Feb 2026
Our topics were: "Working with others" and "How to die well." Going forward, we will explore ways to share knowledge within the group.

Using categories of preparation from the previous meeting, we chose two topics to focus on in this meeting:
- "Working with others,"
- "How to die well."
After an introduction to the meeting and check-ins, we opened two breakout rooms to address the topics.
Working with others
In the first room, we explored "Working with others." The conversation was lively! We touched on: blocks and barriers to working with others; stories of successes shared for inspiration; an exploration of the types of resources that we would find useful; and, what resources we already have in the group that could be shared.
A couple of possible actions that came up in the group are:
- the formation of a support/accountability group for individuals embarking on the journey of community building where they live,
- the potential for members of the Solidarity Prepping Group to host short training sessions to share their wisdoms and knowledge freely.
There is also an appetite for a shared resource library to be hosted on the new website.
How to die well
In the second breakout room, we explored "How to die well." The conversation included: explorations of noble deaths and dying for a cause; the use of voluntary euthanasia; working to support the younger generation; and, practicing reverence for all life.
This group also spoke about the resources that would be helpful to them around this topic, and what skills and practices might be most helpful to support our journeys through this territory.
A potential action arising from this conversation is the idea of current members sharing their knowledge and stories through the blog and through live sessions.
Going forward
