Collapse Support meetings - Special time, Thursday

The Collapse Support meeting on Thursday 29th October will be at 12 noon Pacific time, 3pm Eastern, 7pm UK, 8pm Central Europe (i.e. one hour later, by the clock, in North America). The change is because the clocks in Europe fell back an hour, last Sunday. We are following the European clocks for the Thursday meeting only.

The Wednesday meeting, 28th October, will be at its regular time: 5:30pm Pacific. Next week, both meetings will be back at their regular clock times for all continents.

Daniel was kind enough to share with us some of his thoughts about why our Collapse Support meetings are good for him.

I’ve been part of a lot of groups over the years and I’ve stepped back from most of them. Collapse Club is the one I keep showing up for. It’s the rare place where I don’t have to file down my rough edges to fit in. I can say the blunt thing, show up as myself, and I still get counted as part of the group. Nobody needs me to temper who I am.

Part of that is the subject. I carry a heavy read on where things are headed, ecologically, politically, socially, and otherwise. In most places you bring these things up people tend to change the subject or tell you it’s not that bad. Here people stay in it with me. That alone is worth more than I can easily put into words.

I also always leave sharper than I came in. The conversations light up my brain. I walk out with more than I walked in with, every single time. I don’t earn my spot by running something or producing something. I just belong there. For me that’s rare, and it’s the whole reason I keep coming back.
