We hear from Ramey Rieger, a long-time participant in the Deep Adaptation Forum and editor of the DAF newsletter. Her topic is: "Practical Spirituality." Ramey will share her daily practices grounded in the everyday spiritual tradition of the Lakota, one of North America's indigenous people into which she was adopted 35 years ago.
Ramey's life revolves around practical spirituality, a white woman on the Red Road, learning how to be human from the only two-leggeds who lived for millennia in one or several places without damaging the Earth. Quite the contrary, they supported and cared for her, their Mother. The major themes are reciprocity, gratitude and being willing/prepared to die.
